Scott Pickett & Ron McKinlay Reunite

Previous collaborators, celebrated chefs. Scott Pickett and Ron McKinlay reunite in the Estelle kitchen 10 years on to craft an exceptional dining event.

Executive Chef Ron McKinlay, renowned for his innovative Canadian cuisine at Canoe restaurant (number 8 in Canada) joins forces with old mentor, Scott Pickett, to create a one-off menu ‘down under’.

Ron’s impressive career includes stints in Michelin-starred restaurants across the UK including The Kitchen (Edinburgh) under Tom Kitchen for four years before moving to Melbourne where he assisted opening Maze by Gordon Ramsey, and then coming to work with Scott Pickett at Estelle Bar and Kitchen. Ron worked his way to Head Chef before being selected as part of the kitchen team in opening Pickett’s former Collingwood icon, Saint Crispin (2 Chef Hats), now Smith St Bistrot.

Ron moved from Melbourne to Six Senses resort in Zighy Bay, Oman before settling back in Canada where he is now Executive Chef of Canoe restaurant.
